In this book, Professor Patiño achieves two key objectives for the student of the Philosophy of Language and Communication: on the one hand, thematically synthesizes the main contributions that have been made to the emergence and consolidation of the Philosophy of Language and its systematic study on speech acts or acts of language that intervene in communication; and on the other hand, in a critical way, it updates the issues and problems that have been discussed in different fields related to the topic.
