In this text we will analyze the concept of “Popular Metaphysics” in Schopenhauer’s minor writings. According to this author that concept replaces that one of religion. Thus, for this article it is necessary to ask a question: why is the religion considered, in Schopenhauer’s work, as metaphysics? and why it is called popular? In this way, the analysis to be carried out will be based on answering that question, trying to give an actual reading to the problem that is related to the epoch ot this thinker.
